We took the afternoon tour and had a great time. We arrived in Seattle having learned what we know from Frasier and left the tour feeling like a local ( Seattlite I hear !!) . James walked us around for 2 hours plus ( which was well over 12,000 steps for those interested) and we passed the oldest part of town, through the international quarter and into the more modern parts of the city. We wandered through Pike Place Market - which as a Londoner I enjoyed more than Greenwich and Covent Garden markets finishing up in what I can only describe as Tomorrow Land up by the pace needle (think Iron Man 2 if you’re trying to figure it out). If you’re visiting then go.

This is a fun, informative tour that's easy to walk, but covers a lot of ground. We will point out the big iconic sites, but visit a few places off the beaten path as well. In this tour we’ll get you acquainted with Seattle. Starting in the Pioneer Square neighborhood, you’ll learn about the history and founding of the emerald city. We'll visit the cities art district, Chinatown-international district and meander through the downtown core. Then it’s a ride through the future past on the historic monorail, which we’ll ride to Seattle Center, the site of the 1962 world’s fair. This is a walking tour and we cover roughly 2.5 miles on foot. The tour will take place no matter the weather, rain or shine, (we only cancel during weather advisories). We recommend you dress appropriately, including footwear.

Fun and educational! Lots to learn - even for people who have been to Seattle before. We even did it in the rain and still had fun.

James was a great tour guide. He was fun, knowledgeable with the history of Seattle, pointing out historical architectural fun facts. I would definitely recommend this Seattle city tour with James. June

We hired James Lobb of Wander NW Walking Tours to lead my staff on a Pike Place Market tour this December, and it was absolutely fantastic. Even as a local, I was surprised by how much I learned about my own hometown. James has a deep knowledge of Pike Place and Seattle’s history, and he shares it in a way that’s engaging, approachable, and fun. The food vendors he arranged for us were unexpected and delicious—not just the obvious stops, but thoughtful choices that really showcased the market. It felt curated without feeling rushed. What I especially appreciated was how perfect this tour was as a team experience. My staff loved it. They had time to chat with each other, laugh, and connect, while also sharing an adventure together. It struck a wonderful balance between guided storytelling and relaxed exploration. I can’t recommend James highly enough—rain or shine. This tour deepened my appreciation for Seattle and created a memorable experience for our whole team.
