Outstanding experience chasing the Aurora! Our guide, Lindsay, was so friendly and knowledgeable and provided lots of useful information regarding the Aurora and Alaskan wildlife and terrain and how to get great photos. Group size was small; chase vehicle was clean and comfortable. We were out for about 8.5 hours and were in a perfect spot to take photos when the Aurora made an appearance. Hope to return to Fairbanks to join this chase again. Highly recommend Wandering Alaska!!

  • Please note that while all ages are welcome, children may have a difficult time in extreme cold for a full night, if you have questions please let us know ahead of time.

Outstanding Aurora chasing adventure! Lindsay was so informative and dedicated to making sure everyone in the small group had a great experience. Great communication before the tour and helpful advice to prep for the evening out chasing. Comfortable and clean vehicle with room for all our cold-weather gear and cameras. Mother Nature cooperated to give us a show. Highly recommend this company!

I am in awe over my experience to Fairbanks and my adventure with Lindsey from Wandering Alaska.. it was cloudy and I was nervous but Lindsey picked me up And off we went. On our drive out of the city she talked about where we were going, things along the way, she explained the aurora oval and how she plans to get around the clouds. After about 40 minutes of driving and great conversation, she pulled over and there they were… the aurora… it was low and green but about 20 minutes later it was dancing above my head … She took about 40 pictures of me oooo-ing and awe-ing … we drove out a little more and jumped out of the car and watched another show…. Amazing experience.. she is a lifetime Alaska resident and her knowledge of the state had me asking 900 questions.. it was so great to have a guide that does these adventures because she loves it and not because she needs a job… i will go back and bring friends …. This trip and Lindsey was life changing….
