There are very few things parents and children can do together and both enjoy. Rafting is one of them. How many times do you hear parents say "we do it for the children" or how many times do children think when their parents drag them though a museum "why can’t we go to the amusement park"? Well, you’ll get none of that on this trip. Even the history is presented to the kids in a fun way.

We stayed 2 nights at Wilderness Camping. We took a Bay Side cottage near the central area of the campsite. The cottage was quite spartan with no ensuite bathroom. The property is beautiful and offers countless things to do: MTB biking, rafting on the Ottawa River, and there are inflatable games in the lake bay. The water was all in all quite warm. The rafting day was great fun 4 hours immersed in nature!! Wonderful!! Normal food. Beware of the cottage you choose, some are motorcycles far from the center area you need the car to reach it

Reece, Betty and Jack rocks! Amazing guides! The food was really good. I was disappointed to see the staff options for food were lackluster. They need the protein and nutrition far more than the guests. I know this because one staff asked for chicken and were told no. I gave him mine as we had eaten out. BRING A FAN and extension cord if staying in non air conditioned units as they are horrifically hot. There should be air conditioning in All units as temperatures are probably in the 90s in cedar chalet. Beds were comfortable enough though.

Super fun! The guides and staff are really great there. Highly recommend if it's on your bucket list. Memories that will last a lifetime!

Our appointment for rafting was at 12:30 pm, and my family and I were instructed to arrive half and hour earlier; so we did, just to find out that lunch (which was included) was halfway, and we did not have time, unless we ran. We were not informed about it; I tried to get someone to explain the situation, but there was no one. The girl at the entrance was kind enough to switch our lunch for dinner, and even when there was a price difference, she did not charge it. The bathrooms are disgusting, fortunately we just went inside to change clothes. The overall experience was fantastic, these guys take their business very seriously and both safety instructions and COVID-19 precautions were extremely detailed. Thumbs up for the trip leader, Chris, and our guide, Duncan: absolutely professional, fun and experienced. There were ups and downs, but they really made our experience worth it.
