Let's start with the basics - the website is user friendly (and some are not!) and signing up was quick and painless. The waiver forms were sent in an easy to use and fill out format, and believe me, I love when things aren't archaic looking, especially when using a phone to fill it out for 4 people. They called to verify the trip and sent directions, which I also appreciated.
It was easy to find and checking in was quick. Luis was very funny and likeable, as were the other 3 guys in the crew that went out with us. I will say that out of the all the things we did in PR, this one might have been the most out of my comfort zone. Even though we weren't out in the open sea, you still had to kayak over to the start of the mangrove forest. The water was choppy and it was starting to get dark. I've kayaked before (but not a lot) and I'd like to say that most people should get the hang of it pretty quickly, but there were some that did not. haha
Here are the things I loved about it: 1) Experiencing one of the world's biolumenscent bays is a must. Regardless of how much you see, I think to be able to go and to say that you have seen it, is amazing. I'm not sure how much I saw though, to be honest. It's hard to splash your hand in the water while holding a tarp over you and not getting pinched by the kayak beside you. 2) Kayaking through a mangrove forest in the pitch black is pretty thrilling. I've never done anything like that, so that was fun. 3) Being under a sky full of stars in the middle of Laguna Grande was AMAZING. 4) The guide was very informative and if my kids were listening, they should have learned some things. :)

Our experienced guides will show you the wonders of the natural reserve, including paddling between a mangrove canal and getting to the bioluminescent bay. Once at the bay the guides will detailed explain you the ecosystem and all the surroundings.
