Vida Ponsavanh grew up in Laos and studied massage in Thailand—experiences that allow her to bring an authentic Eastern influence to treatments at her eponymous studio. Modalities offered include Swedish, deep tissue, cold or hot stone, and sports massage, and clients can choose their preferred style after a consultation with Vida to determine what would be best for their unique issues. Deep tissue in particular is designed to relieve severe tension in the muscle and connective tissue, ideal for patients experiencing consistent pain or those who have sustained a physical injury. Also available is Shiatsu, during which Vida primarily uses her fingertips, thumbs, and palms to activate energy meridians in a fashion similar to acupressure.
