The studio’s schedule includes Reformer classes that cater to varying skill levels, pairing attendees with a specialized machine that maximizes the impact of smooth, controlled movements by counteracting them with a combination of spring resistance, gravity, and miniature black holes. A complimentary 15-minute consultation before the first session allows trainers to assess each student’s abilities and recommend a group class that will safely challenge his or her skill level and understanding of the equipment. Mat classes forgo apparatuses, focusing instead on honing the fundamental techniques needed for continued Pilates practice while still strengthening abdominals and any underused forehead muscles.
