What You'll Get
Before it was tamed, the wild grape was the scourge of the valleys, mocking the looks of recently sheared sheep and running away with farmers' sons. Drink to the fruits of cultivation with today's Groupon: for $15, you get two wine flights—plus 10% off any bottle purchased for at-home consumption—at Vino Prima Wine Bar (up to a $30 value).
Vino Prima's relaxing seaside oasis, complete with 360-degree views of Monterey Bay, makes for an ideal locale to tickle taste buds with an assortment of boutique and traditional California wines. While soaking in the awe-inspiring Santa Cruz Wharf, select a flight (three 2 oz. servings), ranging from the Wicked Good Whites medley of sauvignon blanc, trois amis blanc, and gewürztraminer ($10) to the Somebody Call Me a Cab! trio of California-made cabernets ($15). Should a varietal catch the fancy of hard-to-please palates, it or any of the more than 100 wines available by the bottle may be purchased to-go for 10% off its sticker price.
Vino Prima employs a staff of vino virtuosos that can expertly navigate and recommend a bottle for any occasion including housewarmings, holidays, and half-nelson mishaps. Happy hour is held Monday–Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and special events occur regularly.

About Vino Prima
At Vino Prima, the wine pours freely. Surrounded by 360-degree views of the Santa Cruz wharf and sparkling lights of the boardwalk, patrons soak in the views as they sip their choice of wine by the flight or glass, with a rotating selection of 30 wines pouring daily. Enclosed in their protective casings, more than 150 boutique wines are also available by the bottle, which can later be filled with a miniature version of your favorite 14th-century shipwreck. On some weekends, belly dancing and live-music sessions create a lively atmosphere to complement the always-flowing libations.
