You only need three things to pull off an authentic German Oktoberfest: mammoth beer steins, juicy bratwurst, and a recording of Nietzsche discussing the futility of celebration. Think and drink deeply with this Groupon.

From 7 p.m. until midnight on Saturday, September 29, NorCal Oktoberfest transforms Vintage Gardens into a beer hall straight out of Munich. As traditionally clad dancers from the Golden Gate Bavarian Club display old-time dances to the rhythms of Big Lou's Polka Casserole, guests gulp 20-ounce cups of Warsteiner beer and try their hands at beer games including boat races and stein holding. Meanwhile, chefs man the grills, serving up homemade bratwurst, knackwurst, and schnitzel featuring a secret, in-house recipe. Full dinner and bottomless-beer packages are available for an additional fee.
Vintage Gardens is a compound replete with blossoming foliage and year-round flora that create picturesque backdrops for special events. A walk through the gardens treats eyes to scenic vistas and flowering plant life, and a stroll to the gazebo may conjure lingering memories of romance left by the many couples who have tied the knot beneath its peaks. Originally a private residence in the nineteen thirties and a meeting place of the Knights of Columbus, the grounds now contain ample space for events and special occasions and a café with a menu and catering options designed by Chef Rigo. With a professional staff and fully equipped facilities, Vintage Gardens is ready to accommodate weddings, banquets, and special events ranging from community get-togethers to public readings of books on tape.
