Without a variable workout, exercise quickly becomes nothing more than a Sisyphean routine of lifting boulders, running up hills, and running away from sudden boulder avalanches. Break out of your routine with today’s Groupon to Virginia Beach Adventure Boot Camp. Choose between the following options:
- For $19, you get 8 women’s boot-camp classes (a $119.60 value).
- For $25, you get 12 women’s boot-camp classes (a $179.40 value).</p>
Boot-camp classes are held at Bishop Sullivan Catholic High School and Lynnhaven Middle School. All classes must be used within a single four-week program.
Certified boot-camp coaches push women of all fitness levels to burn away the vestiges of inactive lifestyles in classes that span a variety of strength and cardio workouts over the course of four weeks. Personal barriers fall by the wayside during one-hour workouts that put steely resolves to the test with short-distance running, core conditioning, fitness kickboxing, and similarly high-intensity exercises. Muscles quickly marbleize as they pump their way through each day’s workout, giving ladies the confidence necessesary to wear strapless dresses or challenge famous sculptures to fisticuffs. New four-week programs constantly pop up on Virginia Beach Adventure Boot Camp’s annual calendar, with morning classes currently held at two locations and evening classes coming in the spring. Coaches ask that students bring along an exercise mat, small hand weights, a water bottle, running shoes, and a grizzly-bear cub to wrestle at the conclusion of each class.
Classes will be held indoors until March.
Hampton Roads Adventure Bootcamp
Adam and Jennifer Pismeny have always been passionate about fitness. They both became involved with sports at a young age: Jennifer enjoyed swimming, cheerleading, and dance, and Adam focused on activities including soccer and BMX racing, qualifying for state-level meets and competitions along the way. Perhaps as a facet of their team-sports experience, the duo also has a long history of helping others. Jennifer, who has struggled with weight concerns, obtained her undergraduate degree in elementary education, and both of them became certified personal trainers to guide other people toward achieving personal health goals.
Along with trainer Joe Boozer, the Pismenys share their knowledge and experience at Hampton Roads Adventure Bootcamp, which is part of one of the largest boot-camp organizations in the world. Their program was designed by fitness expert John Spencer Ellis to build strength and confidence via a combination of motivating, varied workouts and nutritional guidance. The team hosts sessions five days a week all year long, leading groups of about 30 women through exercises that can be modified for all skill levels or any number of extra biceps.
