Very accommodating getting me in to a tour group at the last minute. Nice people. Sweet horses. But a 90 minute ride turned out to be roughly an hour. Unfortunately there was so much rain the night and day before that the trails were muddy and maybe that made the ride shorter.

With a retinue of 10 horses, Virginia Beach Horseback sends riders on equine adventures amid the surf and on the trail. Trained staff members work with the steeds on a daily basis, giving them ample attention and working to desensitize them to spooks from dogs, loud noises, and Mr. Ed reruns playing nearby. This helps keep the rides safe and enjoyable. Shoreline tours run from September through June, during which an instructor guides horses through the sand at Virginia Beach.
