About This Deal
Choose Between Two Options
- $40.50 for a Mud & Merlot pottery course ($60 value)
- $78 for a Mud & Merlot pottery course for two ($120 value)
In 2–2.5 hours, students learn to hand build a coffee mug or other project from clay, then glaze it with eye-catching color. Students are also encouraged to bring in textural objects such as leaves and lace to incorporate into their piece.
In keeping with the beverage-related project theme, merlot, white wine, and soda will be served during class. After putting the final touches on their masterpiece, students leave it with the teacher, who carefully fires the work and readies it for pickup two weeks later. See the class page for available dates and times.

About VisArts
A nonprofit community arts center, VisArts fills its studios with artists learning techniques of creative expression, and acts as an exhibition opportunity for seasoned creators. Classes span a wide artistic spectrum, including concentrations such as ceramics and glass, many of which can be specifically tailored for the educational needs of children or resurrected Renaissance men in need of a new hobby. VisArts also enriches the community with a trifecta of galleries—the Kaplan, Gibbs Street, and Common Ground—and a thriving resident-artist program.
