Exercise is challenging, and people frequently give up on their fitness routines. How do you keep clients motivated?
Motivation is like a shower and needs to be applied daily. Every morning I wake up and motivate my trainers to reach out to their clients and give them a shot in the arm to do what needs to be done today, and not get too bogged down thinking about yesterday or tomorrow.
What's the most radical physical transformation you've seen a client make?
We have had a couple 100-pound losers in the last couple of years. We like to see that, but also the ones that come looking to add weight. We've packed on a lot of muscle to some frames over the years, too.
What is a typical session of your program or class like for a student?
A session is very focused on what we have gathered during our initial consultations based on what each client wants to get out of their training. The group classes are fun and very high energy, except [for] our spinal class, which is a hybrid of yoga, core movements and foam rolling.
Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
We have a very robust offering of at home training programs that help our clients when not in the studio. A ten-part television series was created for this and is a special gift to all of our studio clients. With his comes advanced nutrition coaching and daily accountability systems that are currently used for our online clients around the world.
