What You'll Get
Pilates combines mental toughness with physical strength, much like solving a Sudoku puzzle engraved in stone. Bolster your chisel skills with today’s Groupon: for $59, you get a four-week Intro to Pilates course at Vitality Pilates Studio (a $153.71 value). This deal is valid for the January orange series that runs from January 2 to January 29. Choose from the Mount Baker, Phinney Ridge, and Ravenna locations.
Students must register by 1/4/12.
Vitality Pilates Studio’s experienced instructors tailor each small-group class to accommodate and nurture the physical needs of the students. Up to seven Intro to Pilates participants meet twice per week, bolstering bodies through a progressive series of Reformer exercises and stretches, stabilizing cores, and engaging abdominal muscles through a series of clever knock-knock jokes. The step-by-step nature of the instructor’s tutelage allows students to start the course at their own fitness level and to build core strength and flexibility at their own pace. While toning their tendons, Pilates practitioners are taught to calm their nervous system in order to awaken deep muscle bundles and to harness the zen-like poise of an acrobatic flamingo. Each location hosts classes at different times and days; check the studio’s class schedule for more information.

About Vitality Pilates
Diets, traditional medicine, and exercise regimens all work best when people keep one thing in mind: Everyone’s body is different. Vitality Pilates's instructors, many of whom boast more than a decade of experience, understand this basic truth, tailoring their teachings to individual bodies. They blend both traditional Pilates practice with newer teaching styles in introductory classes, private lessons, and multilevel training classes that may integrate apparatus and prop work. To accommodate those who want to dive into Pilates more extensively, they offer an instructor-training course and a rare copy of Joseph Pilates's high-school diary.
