Volcano Sushi Cafe keeps UIC students and medical professionals filled with fresh maki, udon and soba noodles, and tempura. More than 50 maki-mono and signature-roll creations means patrons can try a lot of new flavor combinations. The Snow Lady roll, for instance, tops shrimp tempura, cucumber, and avocado with creamy lobster and a honey-wasabi sauce drizzle. And a lot of the rolls feature cream cheese, including the Crazy Chicago deep-fried roll, which combines spicy tuna with cream cheese, avocado, spicy mayo, and Sriracha.
