Have some fun with your friends by recreationally hunting other humans (a sport made popular by Mel Brooks' Blazing Saddles) with today's Groupon to Wacky Warriors. For $18, you get all-day open play (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.), safety orientation, semi-automatic paintball gun and face mask rentals, all-day air refills, and 300 paintballs (a $35 value). Fulfill fantasies of expertly evading crossfire as you infiltrate enemy territory and annihilate the opposition faster than Reverend Johnson threatens to leave the town after discovering that the sheriff has been murdered. Or just spatter strangers with neon splotches. Head to either of Wacky Warriors' two nearby locations in Millstadt and Wentzville.
Paintball is an adrenaline-pumping, nonlethal combination of capture the flag, hide-and-seek, and The Deer Hunter as interpreted by the genetically engineered hybrid clone of Jackson Pollock, James Bond, and Matthew McConaughey. Dive over obstacles, shoot from behind barricades, and savor the opportunity to shout commands like "Lay down a suppressing fire, soldier! Hudson, you're with me!" Or you can simply perch atop a tree and admire the way the sun filters through the branches just before you paint your enemies in splatters of blue, orange, and purple. Each Wacky Warriors referee is trained in the most current safety techniques, ensuring that you and your sworn enemies remain safe so that you can spend more time strategizing and less time convincing your overbearing mother that you'll be okay.
Wacky Warriors is designed with novices and expert players in mind, so you won't need years of mercenary training or a Blu-ray copy of Blazing Saddles to try it out. Hit the fields any Saturday or Sunday for open play sans reservations, or book a session during the week as long as you bring a group of 12 (one standard metric dirty dozen) or more.

- I love the fields and how many different ways you can play them. When I started I was a total novice at paintball. Just by talking to the refs, they helped me out tremendously. They showed me how to play the game like the best and it has paid off. – ptlm60, PBReview

About Wacky Warriors
On 18 playing fields at two Wacky Warriors locations, players can storm a two-story castle, take cover behind barrels stacked in pyramids, and weave through red inflatables. Each 15-minute open-play game mixes beginner and intermediate participants, who compete in matches such as team death match and capture the flag under the watchful eye of trained referees. Fighters take to the fields with their choice of more than 500 rental markers; spectators can monitor the action from netted areas next to the brickyard and airball fields.
Along with open play, Wacky Warriors hosts private parties and special events such as zombie-apocalypse scenarios. After bouts, players can relax in the pavilion, sign their artwork on opponents' gear, and grill up a feast in Wacky Warriors' massive barbecue pits.
