Waffleworks owner Sergio Goldvarg is not Batman, in case anyone was wondering after seeing him park his 1966 Batmobile in front of the restaurant. Goldvarg is passionate about two things: cars and food. He combines them both with Waffleworks—displaying more than 1,000 die-cast model cars from his personal collection inside the dining area. Patrons may peruse the rows and rows of plastic cases displaying pint-sized cars from movies and television shows while digging into plates of crisp belgian waffles crowned with Nutella, dulce de leche, or Nestle Crunch candy pieces. To balance sweet treats, the chefs also scramble eggs, build hot sub sandwiches, and grill juicy hamburgers, which pack more protein than a muscle-car sandwich.
