More Questions and Answers

Q:

Can you tell me about these 2 types of trees that the Groupon is for? Are they full, bushy trees or are the branches sparce and spread out? I am looking for something tall, but not too skinny, but also not overly bushy. Thanks! Debbie

Darla H.  asked on  Nov 30, 2012

A:

Balsam Firs are very fragrant, and are cut from northern New England and Quebec. Fraser Fir trees have a double needle (needles all around the stem). The trees don't have the smell of the Balsam, but they tend to last longer in the house. They are green in color but can give the appearance of a silver/blue color.

Q:

If I wanted to buy a 12' tree could I apply this $40.00 towards the tree and how much is the 12' tree if I can use this $40.00???

KAREN D.  asked on  Nov 29, 2012

A:

This Groupon would cover the first $100.00. The balance over $100.00 would be due at check out. Example: if you purchase a tree that costs $110.00 you would pay $10.00 at time of purchase + your Groupon. The $40.00 and any overage is subject to MA sales tax. Trees are approximately $10.00 per foot. Please use this as a guideline only.

Q:

How long ago were these trees cut? I don't want to pick it up and then get home and all the needles start falling off because it has been dead for a while. Also, do you have enough trees that they won't run out by Saturday?

Jesse H.  asked on  Nov 29, 2012

A:

Great question Jesse, All of our trees are fresh cut and are grown specifically for us by our suppliers to ensure the freshest cut trees available. There are many factors as to how long a fresh cut tree will last indoors. Having a fresh re cut at time of sale is essential. Every tree we sell we give a fresh re cut and wrap for no extra charge. The next few steps are important to having a long lasting tree. Once re cut keep the bottom of the trunk very clean, in other words don't stand it up on it's trunk until it is in the stand and in water. Place in stand and in water within a few hours after it's re cut. Use hot water for first fill to loosen the sap. Use a tree preserve like Prolong which we sell in the store to keep algae from forming in water. Don't let water run dry in stand, once the water dries up sap will form over fresh re cut and tree won't take water any longer. The first few days the tree will take water quickly, you may even have to water it twice a day, so keep an eye on it. We will have thousands of trees in stock and hundreds of trees on display for your viewing for the next three weeks. Then our inventory will be lower, but we will have trees in stock until Christmas Eve.

Q:

Do you have trees that are 13-14 feet tall, and if so, would the coupon cover it partially?

Laurie H.  asked on  Nov 29, 2012

A:

Hi Laurie, Great question. Yes we do have 13-14 foot trees in stock now. The Goupon would cover the first $100.00. The balance over $100.00 would be due at check out. Example: if you purchase a tree that costs $110.00 you would pay $10.00 at time of purchase + your Groupon. The $40.00 and any overage is subject to MA sales tax.
