There is less down time with SmartLipo and more skin tightening as well.

Q:

Can I drive home myself after the lipo procedure for lower abdomen and left/right love handles?

S K.  asked on  Apr 19, 2013

A:

Since patient safety is our #1 priority, we do not allow our patients to drive after surgery. You must have someone pick you up following the procedure.

Q:

You say that you can return to normal activities in about 1 week, can you describe what limitations and pain you may experience during that first week? Can I drive, work behind a desk, etc, or do you mean limiting excercise and the like? How long is pain expected?

Trina T.  asked on  Apr 17, 2013

A:

You may be in a little discomfort during the first week following your surgery. Generally, patients can expect discomfort/soreness the first 48-72 hours. You can drive and work at a desk job. It is not recommended to do anything strenuous for about 4 weeks following (heavy lifting, exercise, holding children, etc).

Q:

What if the area I want done is only the upper inner thigh (partial inner thigh), would it still be considered 2 areas for both inner thighs?

Andrea C.  asked on  Apr 17, 2013

A:

Yes, that would still be considered two areas.

Rondi W.  from  Merchant  replied on  Apr 18, 2013

A:

Yes, it would be considered two areas.

Q:

So if a person needs both love handles and top and bottom of the stomach (four areas). Would the price be $2499.00 plus $2600.00? I ask because to some it may be silly to treat one love handle or one part of the stomach.

Sonja S.  asked on  Apr 15, 2013

A:

That is correct. After the Groupon promotion for 3 areas, the price would return to normal.

Q:

Is anesthesia included in the price? What is the recovery time for the lower abdomen?

Keena L.  asked on  Apr 15, 2013

A:

The procedure is done under local anesthesia, so yes it is included in the price. You can return to normal daily activities about 1 week after your procedure. You will be in compression garments (we provide the first garment in the Groupon price) for 4 weeks after your surgery. We do highly recommend purchasing a second garment. These are available for $100.

Q:

Could you please provide more guidance on what is considered an area. Do you count the love handles as two areas? Do you count the stomach as two (top and bottom)? A list would be great.

Sonja S.  asked on  Apr 15, 2013

A:

The list below provides what are considered treatment areas: Lower abdomen Upper abdomen Left love handle Right love handle Left upper inner arm Right upper inner arm Left inner thigh Right inner thigh Left outer thigh Right outer thigh Lower back Upper back

Rondi W.  from  Merchant  replied on  Apr 15, 2013

A:

We apologize as formatting in the above answer may have been confusing. Treatment areas are as follows: Lower abdomen, Upper abdomen, Left love handle, Right love handle, Left upper inner arm, Right upper inner arm,Left inner thigh, Right inner thigh, Left outer thigh, Right outer thigh, Lower back, or Upper back.

Q:

If I don't qualify for the treatment, will I receive a refund?

Desiree H.  asked on  Apr 15, 2013

A:

If you are seen for your initial consultation and Dr. Walker decides you are not a suitable candidate for surgery, you will receive a refund.

Rondi W.  from  Merchant  replied on  Apr 15, 2013

Q:

Is there any other related expense for the treatment? if there are what are those? The stomach area does it consider as one area? Three area covers what?

Sheri R.  asked on  Apr 15, 2013

A:

We highly recommend buying an extra garment (we provide the first) because you will most likely want to wash the first one and need to be wearing a garment at all times to maximize effectiveness of the procedure, this cost would be $100 but it is completely optional. Please refer to the list of treatment areas located on the Deal page; any combination of three of these areas are acceptable.
