In 2013, pianist Sean Chen became the first American to win a medal at the Van Cliburn Competition since 1997. Chen possesses some rare gifts -- not only does he display, in the words of The Huffington Post, "an easy virtuosity," but he also knows how to connect instantly with audiences of all kinds. The recent winner of the University of Pennsylvania's prestigious 2015 Annenberg arts fellowship for exceptional emerging artists, this charismatic sensation now comes to the Wallis Annenberg Center in Beverly Hills for a solo performance as part of Next Generation @ The Wallis, a new series promoting musical artists on the rise. Come early and enjoy a pre-concert wine tasting and conversation with Sean Chen. It's a great chance to meet an up-and-coming musician in an intimate setting.
Your ticket also includes admission to a pre-concert conversation between Sean Chen and The Wallis’ new managing director, Rachel Fine. The conversation runs from 7:00pm-7:30pm in the Founders Room and concludes with a wine tasting, which is also included with admission. To reserve your seat, you will need to RSVP at firstname.lastname@example.org.
