What You'll Get
Grammy-nominated violinist Jennifer Koh and accomplished pianist Shai Wosner bring their collaboration Bridge to Beethoven to the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts. This new project explores Beethoven's influence on contemporary artists and the ways in which his music shaped their cultural identity. The third of their three programs features sonatas Op. 30, No. 1 in A Major, Op. 30, No. 3 in G Major and Op. 30, No. 2 in C minor, and three world-premiere companion works composed by Andrew Norman, Bridging I, II and III -- each preceding one of the Op. 30 sonatas. Be sure to see the duo about which The New York Times commented, "Mr. Wosner's singing tone and expressive musicality complement Ms. Koh's insightful, richly hued playing."
Please join a dynamic pre-concert conversation with Jennifer Koh and Shai Wosner. Pre-concert conversations are open to concert ticketholders one hour before show time in the David C. Bohnett Foundation Founder’s Room, adjacent to the Bram Goldsmith Theater. Enjoy the conversation over a complimentary glass of wine sponsored by Henry Wine Group. All attendees must RSVP to RSVP@TheWallis.org, as seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
