What You'll Get
A world-premiere work for the bassoon doesn't come along every day, and neither does an exciting young prodigy on the double bass, but this Colburn @ The Wallis event features both, along with beloved works by Mozart. Part of a series spotlighting faculty members alongside star students, this Colburn Orchestra concert is led by acclaimed music director and conductor Yehuda Gilad, and brings bassoonist Richard Beene to the Beverly Hills stage for the debut of a new work by Bruce Edward Miller. Gilad directs the orchestra in Mozart's Symphony No. 35, known as "Haffner" during this unique show.
Your ticket also includes admission to a pre-concert conversation between The Colburn School leadership and The Wallis’ new managing director, Rachel Fine. The conversation runs from 1:00pm-1:30pm in the Founders Room and concludes with a wine tasting, which is also included with admission. To reserve your seat, you will need to RSVP at firstname.lastname@example.org.
