The wine tasting will be conducted by Vino 301—experts on Maryland’s vineyards and wineries—and will guide guests on an exploration of Maryland’s wine regions and culture.
Ware House 518
Ware House 518 boasts an eclectic mix of old and new. The restaurant's name is a nod to a former occupant—the historical Ware & Co. Furniture—and the decor harkens back to the 1920s, compete with a full list of pre-prohibition-style cocktails. The front window even features a white-hued display of antique-looking bottles and glasses painted by artist Lyla Shlone. But the food is decidedly contemporary. Executive Chef Ezra Tilaye prepares a menu that highlights Maryland staples, including Rockfish, oysters, and crab cakes, but prepared with a Southern twist. Owner Ezra Tilaye hopes his restaurant will pay homage to the historic Mt. Vernon neighborhood, saying "Ware House 518 is a salute to the great neighborhood we are in."
