Burritos and sushi basically have one thing in common: they're both rolled. Aside from that, the differences abound. This didn't dissuade the founders of Wasabi Juan's from creating one of the most unique fusion concepts around. Spurred on by the arrival of a brewery next door, they began to craft soy-wrapped "sushi burritos" that brewery-goers could pair with their favorite local beers. Though unconventional, the burritos proved an unqualified success.
Nestling neatly in a palm, each burrito features an innovative combination such as seared steak with cream cheese or raw ahi tuna with shrimp and avocado. But the chefs don't stop there; other specialties include crab tacos, ceviche nachos, and sides of mango slaw. They even teach regular sushi-making classes on-site, though students are instructed to use knives instead of the traditional longsword.
