Q:

Is there an opportunity to pull over and stretch legs, use restrooom? Nancy M.

Nancy M.  asked on  Apr 3, 2013

A:

Unfortunately not, there is no authorized or safe place to get out of the kayaks. This is a standard rule of the river and it's rarely a problem we encounter--

Any chance of doing the fireworks tour instead?

Margaret C.  asked on  Apr 1, 2013

A:

These are specifically for the tours listed, the Ghost and Gangster tour is the evening option, but we do put "Valid only for option purchased" in the fine print area in an attempt to clarify. Thanks--

Q:

Is there an age limit/weight? I would love to take my 6 yr old on the 3 Hr option. Thanks.

Ernesto S.  asked on  Mar 31, 2013

A:

Children frequently and easily ride in the front of a double kayak with an adult paddling, we have child-size life vests to accommodate. Weight capacities are listed in the range of 275 lbs. per single and 425 lbs. per double, thanks--

Q:

Are these tours only for experienced kayakers? Do you provide any training before going out on a tour? We have canoed, but never kayaked.

Mark W.  asked on  Mar 30, 2013

A:

We give lessons prior to and also upon entering the river and have a nice practice area as well. We do recommend a "how to" video if you'd like to see the technique and application. We have novices of all sorts join us daily, so it's generally quite easy to partake. Thanks Mark--

Q:

how safe is this with all the boat traffic?

marianne k.  asked on  Mar 30, 2013

A:

We have coordinated efforts with tour boats and carry marine radios to keep in touch; kayaks travel on the right side of the river and boats travel in the center. We have guides accompanying the trip, of course, to ensure the order and we have never encountered trouble in our 16 year history.

Q:

The $65 groupon for two - is that one double kayak or can it be two singles? Adam G.

Adam G.  asked on  Mar 30, 2013

A:

Your choice of single or double kayak for sure - in fact, we have two dozen new kayaks to start this season in addition to the same we added last year, giving us quite a modern fleet - thanks!
