Q:

Does the $29.50 rental for two hours include a guide with history info? How can the guide make themselves heard to multiple kayaks? ( must be hoarse by the end of the day!) thanks!

Patricia M.  asked on  May 19, 2013

A:

A rental is a self-tour through the city Monday-Friday afternoons, we give instruction and direction - guided tours are different and at diffetreand when necessary, lead guides have an amplified headset and at tour stops all boats come together for storytelling--

Q:

I have been very interesting in kayaking, but I never done it before. What level of experience is need for this deal?

Cherie  asked on  May 19, 2013

A:

We get first-timers every day, no experience necessary. You will receive nurturing instruction and direction as needed to prepare you for your paddling journey. Frankly, this is why we run the deal, we want people to come try and see the wonder and unique experience that paddling the Chicago River through downtown can be. Kayaking is relatively safe and easy to pick up, people of all ages and physical level now join us regularly and we hope you will too--

Q:

Are boaters limited to the river only, or are they allowed to venture onto Lake Michigan as well?

Jessica B.  asked on  May 16, 2013

A:

The Chicago River is the destination to see downtown close up and personal, crossing the locks in to the Lake from the River is not allowed for safety reasons and the Lake water near downtown is pretty rough, so it's just not advisable. The waters are nice and calm on the River.
