Scientists agree that children are our future, which is why most children are sealed in time capsules with a flashlight and a stack of magazines. Give a child something he or she will really dig with today's Groupon: for $42, you get eight kids’ swimming lessons at WaterWorks (an $85 value). Lessons can be redeemed at either WaterWorks location, at the Westward Look Resort or the Omni Tucson National Resort.
The American Red Cross–certified instructors at WaterWorks bring more than 50 years of collective teaching experience to school kids ages 6 months–15 years in the fine art of dolphin emulation. Each course consists of eight 30-minute lessons where swim savants will transform gill-less guppies into fully fledged pool sharks, stopping along the way to incorporate a splash course on pool-safety tips to both students and their proud parents. Classes are grouped by age, aptitude, and supplementary-fin size, and are limited to 3–4 students to maximize individualized instructor attention and minimize life-changing run-ins with Daryl Hannah. Running roughly every half hour, Mondays–Saturdays, students will attend four classes weekly for two consecutive weeks, and may choose between a M/T/W/F or T/Th/F/Sa schedule.
