Make your Valentine's Day memorable enough to make you want to learn how to sew, so you can construct a memory quilt. Today's Groupon gets you a wine tasting for two, a bottle of wine to bring home, and validated parking at Wattle Creek Winery for $25. The winery that helped breathe life and wine into Ghirardelli Square will do the same for your wine palate with elegant and refined chest compressions that have slight hints of bacon.
Wattle Creek Winery delivers a bucolic experience straight to its lovely city tasting room, where the warm timbres of Wattle Creek wines can convince the most hectic spirits to kick off their shoes and relax. Educate the inside of your mouth (normally $10 for each tasting) and your sweet wine lips with five single-ounce tastes from the winery's roster. Reds include pinot noir, merlot, Kristine's cuvee (a Bordeaux-style blend), Triple Play (Rhone blend), shiraz, petite sirah, and cabernet sauvignon. Whites include sauvignon blanc, Viognier, chardonnay, rosé, and muscat canelli. Give the various varieties time to breath, dance, and hop about your tasting cavern as you become an educated beveragist.
Following a round of samples, you and your partner get to choose between either a bottle of Chardonnay ($25 value), Triple Play ($25 value), Rose ($19 value), or Sauvignon Blanc ($19 value) to add to or start your wine collection. If you haven't had a sip too many, your parking will be validated by Wattle Creek for one hour in the garage at Ghirardelli Square ($6.75 value). A lovely day of wining around and not paying for parking can provide the sufficient spark needed for any budding relationship.
