Our granddaughter turns 6 October 26th. She adores horses and has been on short 15-20-minute rides at a friend's house. What if 90 minutes of riding is too long for her? Can she and her Grandpa go back to the starting point or must the group stay together? In your experience, do children that age get restless or are they having so much fun that the time goes by quickly?

Hi Susan, What we typically do when we have young kids is have a private reservation, although we do require a minimum of 3 riders for the reservation. That way the ride goes up to the 90 minutes or can cut it shorter if needed. We ride to the ability and tolerance of the child's needs. All riders must stay with the wrangler and can't leave the group for safety reasons. In our experience it really depends on the child, I have seen the horse crazy kids not wanting to get off after 90 minutes, and others not wanting to go in the first place. So it really depends. I hope this helps, if you have any additional questions don't hesitate to ask or give us a call. I'm happy to answer them for you. Thank you, Jennifer
