What You'll Get
Lake cruises are a luxurious way to relax and see the sights, unlike boarding dolphins equipped with saddles, which usually results in whiplash and water-filled lungs. Cruise the blue in comfort with today's Groupon from Wayzata Bay Charters. Choose from the following Groupons:
- $10 for an adult public cruise ticket (ages 12 and up, a $19.95 value)
- $7 for a child public cruise ticket (ages 5–12, a $14.95 value)
Escape the blaring horns and roving bands of streetlights in the city for a few luxurious hours amid nature. The two-hour cruise will launch from the Bayview Event Center in Excelsior, about a half hour outside of downtown Minneapolis, where you'll step aboard Wayzata's three-level, 53-foot lake cruiser. The luxury liner will launch onto the ripply waters and over the course of the ride will pass the beautiful lakeside homes, lush foliage, and natural wildlife of the Lake Minnetonka shoreline. On board, practice your sea legs and stomach legs by strolling through the shaded and sunny areas of the deck and sipping on a selection from the full cash bar.
Public cruises are offered every Sunday afternoon and Tuesday evening, and feature friendly, on-boat staff to make your ride as enjoyable as eating grapes in a beanbag chair full of grapes. Tours run rain or shine, so arrive prepared with sunscreen or your Fédération Française de Basket-Ball poncho.
Tax and port fees of $3.50 per ticket are not included.

About Wayzata Bay Charters
With a passion for boating the waters of Lake Minnetoka to take in views of the region's natural beauty and lush green landscapes, Wayzata Bay Charters' owners charter their 60-foot lake cruiser to make the experience accessible to all. The owners decked out their two-level cruiser—which can host up to 60 people—with a full bar, two satellite TVs, satellite radio, a 2,000-watt sound system, and enough helium balloons to keep both the boat and the party afloat. Believing a jaunt on the lake makes for an ideal event whatever the occasion, they've designed packages specifically for weddings and bachelorette parties, and they still offer public cruises to assure everyone has a chance to take to the water.
