Does this mean that we have to pay for a reequired consulation and examinaation before you proceed with a treatment of spinal decompression and xrays if you think they are necessary? What is the real deal here?

Chris S.  asked on  Feb 5, 2013

Consultation are free. If during the consult we need more information we will need to do an exam. If you have xrays or MRI'S that are not older than 6 months we can look at them. We want to make sure spinal decompression is of benefit for you and that there are no contra-indications to spinal decompression. For the exam and an necessary x-rays we can use insurance. The spinal decompression treatment itself will take about 15 min. Your total time in office for will be about 30 min to 1 hour.

(1) Are there any other associated charges, such X-ray or exam fees? (2) If purchasing the 3-spinal-treatment deal, and assuming more than one area of the spine needed to be treated in one visit, is the deal actually for three separate visits with all areas of the spine treated per visit? Or is it possible that the three compression deal would be used in one visit? (3) How do insurance & deductibles factor into this deal?

We do require a consulation and examination before we would proceed with a treatment of spinal decompression. Xrays if needed. If you have an MRI or some form of imaging that is not older than 6 months we can use that as well. Spinal decompression is usually done for the Lower back or the Neck region. The 3-spinal decompression treatments are 3 separate treatments on 3 separate dates. You question for insurance is great question. Since the exam and xrays are not part of the deal these items my be billed to insurance, the massage and the spinal decompression may not because they were part of the coupon. We can verify you benefits to see exactly what is covered before you come in if you like. Spinal Decompression is not for everyone and we want to make sure it is a service that you need. Please feel free to call my office if you have any further questions. 214-862-5581. I will happy to answer any addditonal questions you have.
