Q:

Will the therapist do Pregnant women?

Tara H.  asked on  Jan 28, 2013

A:

Reflexology and Pregnancy: Reflexology improves circulation and helps the body normalize, so is always considered a safe therapy. Therefore it may be used during pregnancy. If there was a magic button on the foot that would induce a spontaneous abortion, then we would have found it by now and women would not have suffered as they have over the years. The reflexes may be tender as the body is undergoing changes, so gentle pressure should be used on the reproductive reflexes. That being said, if someone is nervous about having a treatment at any stage through their pregnancy, they should wait until the third trimester. Reflexology can help with the reduction of swelling and bring ease and comfort to mom-to-be and baby

Q:

Hi, I have private insurance and can claim if the person is a RMT. I can claim a reflexology treatment if it is performed by a Registered Message Therapist. Is Wendy Greene a RMT or do you have other RMT's that perform a reflexology message?

Roger C.  asked on  Jan 24, 2013

A:

Hello... Reflexology is covered by Greenshield Insurance and certain companys that provide Great West Life insurance for their employees. Yes...Reflexology is covered if an RMT provides the service. It's unfortunate that Reflexology is not covered by major insurance companies becase a Registered Massage Therapist has to be trained by a Reflexologist in order to perform Reflexology on their clients....HELP us fight the battle and call your insureance companies to ask WHY NOT!!! Wendy Greeene is not a RMT. Wendy is a Certified Reflexologist and Certified Foot Reflexology Instructor
