Just south of Pennsylvania's capital, West Hanover Winery sprawls amongst the Appalachian Mountains, its vineyards yielding grapes transformed into multiple cellars' worth of wines. During wine tastings, sommeliers lead guests through the winemaking process before introducing them to a range of varietals—semidry white wines including pinot grigio and vidal blanc, dry red oak-aged wines in the form of sangiovese and cabernet franc, and dessert wines that may include red-raspberry chambourcin port.
