Q:

I understand from others who have done this that the instructor/tandem person takes most of the impact on landing, so it is a relatively "soft" landing.. Is that correct?

Margot W.  asked on  Nov 25, 2012

A:

Hi Margot We do mostly sit down landings, and it is relatively low impact, however there is always a risk involved in landing for the tandem passenger, especially if they do not listen to instruction....however this is quite rare.

We do require a 48 hour notice for canceling or rescheduling otherwise we do charge a $50 cancellation fee if you wanted to transfer your Groupon, or forfeit the Groupon.

Q:

I noticed that you have several height options for tandem jumps - I anticipate that this Groupon deal is for the lowest height, but was wondering what it would cost to upgrade to a higher jump? I have done several tandem jumps from another place in the past, and 24,000' sounds wonderful! I looked on your website, and the higher height options were substantially higher - why is that?

Steve L.  asked on  Nov 24, 2012

A:

Steve 24k jumps require onboard oxygen, they also require filing a flight plan with the FAA, take significantly longer time to get up to altitude, and more work is involved for the instructors. There is only one other place in the country that offers these jumps - Halo Jumpers and they charge double what we do. For any more specific questions please call the dropzone directly. You may upgrade your tandem jump to 18 for $100 and to 24k for $675.

Nitin A.  asked on  Nov 22, 2012

No they are not included. Video and stills packages are $85 or $115 depending on which you choose. If you go to our website under the about tab, and prices, scroll to the bottom to see the video/stills differences. Thanks!

Q:

What happens if the person I give this jump to chickens out and doesn't use it? Can I get a refund?

Ann O.  asked on  Nov 22, 2012

A:

Once the person has boarded the aircraft, there are no refunds as the cost has been incurred and they will be riding the plane up and back down.

Q:

In the details it states 1 per visit. If I purchase one and my wife purchases one, can we use both use the groupon the same day? Would we be considered 2 separate customers since we each purchased a groupon?

Andrew V.  asked on  Nov 22, 2012

A:

Yes you could each go at the same time :)
