Intense whitewater-rafting trips are a lot like gondola rides, except instead of being moved by a smooth serenade, rafters are carried by relentless rapids that can hardly carry a tune. Take on the relentless river with today's Groupon for a guided whitewater-rafting trip from W.E.T. River Trips. Choose between the following trips:
- For $129, you get a two-day whitewater-rafting trip on the South Fork of the American River with four meals and camping (a $259 value).
- For $80, you get a one-day whitewater-rafting trip on the Middle Fork of the American River (a $159 value). This option is only valid for weekday trips (Monday–Friday).
W.E.T. River Trips has been blazing aqua-trails on California's mighty whitewaters since 1978. Captained by CPR- and first-aid-certified guides, the two-day South Fork trip welcomes paddlers of all skills and as young as age 8 (12+ during high flows) to traverse 21 miles of class III-III+ rapids, such as the Meatgrinder, Racehorse Bend, and Troublemaker Rapid. Spend the night under the stars at Camp Lotus where you'll have a chance to ease achy muscles in a hot shower, fill up with a rustic dinner, and gather around the campfire to roast Twinkies and sing Gregorian chants. Alternately, the one-day Middle Fork trip—available for paddlers age 12+—features 19 miles of crashing waves and class IV+ rapids, including Tunnel Chute rapid, which sends rafts careening through a river tunnel.
W.E.T. furnishes all equipment including lifejackets, helmets, and wetsuits for spring and high water runs.
All participants under age 18 must have a signed release form from a parent or guardian.

W.E.T. River Trips
Founded in 1978 out of a love of the plentiful whitewater rafting around Sacramento, W.E.T. River Trips has been outfitting rafters and leading trips continuously for the last 34 years. They maintain a ratio of one guide per six to eight guests on their trips to ensure less crowded boats and to make each trip more intimate and personal. W.E.T.'s tours explore more than 18 rivers' rapids ranging in difficulty from Class II to V. Trips often include camping, meals, river stories, and musical entertainment provided by the staff.
