This varies from person to person but the Zodiac does not roll back and forth like the big boats plus they have
 a gasoline engine, not diesel. The diesel fumes are what often makes people seasick.

"Trips will run throughout the year but the best times are June-September when our summer resident gray whales return to feast on our nearshore mysid swarms. February - April is when we see northward migrating gray whales on their way from winter calving grounds in Mexico to Alaskan summer feeding grounds. December - January we see migrating gray whales heading southward."
