This was a gift -- and a terrific experience - Tracy is a great teacher and very knowledgeable. I will be going here again with my friends.

Owner, expert potter, talented artist and fabulous teacher, Tracy Ameen, made this an amazing experience. My wife and I had never done this before, and were not sure what to expect. It was great. Worth every penny. Can't wait to go back for more. Old world cluttered charm. The most wonderful organized chaos. Exactly what such an art studio should be. No pretensions. Just a great place to get your first hands-on experience with the potter's wheel, 2 pounds of clay, and instruction that demonstrated the teachers' complete understanding of how to teach her craft. We were truly taught with loving-kindness. Thank you Groupon for opening this door for us. Robert Schaefer

About Wheel Works Art Studio

Sculptor Tracy Ameen has shown her work at world-famous institutions such as the White House, the Smithsonian Museum, and The Museum of Modern Design in New York. She's known internationally for her double wall pottery, which she crafts using a technique that dates back to China's Ming Dynasty. At Wheel Works Art Studio, Tracy shares her skills with students, teaching them how to shape clay on the wheel or carve it using pottery tools. Afterward, visitors' creations are fired in the studio's kiln and can be taken home or buried for future generations of robots to marvel at.
