Commonly Asked Questions

Q:

Can I do the Whirlt Ball at the Lombard location? If I buy 2, can I RESERVE one hour of time....the same day thing was not clear to me? Thanks! Kathy

Kathy H.  asked on  May 25, 2013

A:

As stated in The Fine Print, "May combine 2 Groupons for 1 hour." A same-day reservation is a reservation made on the same day you play. Call first thing in the morning (calls are taken beginning at 9am) the day you wish to play to check availability. If there is court time available and you'd like to reserve, have your Groupon handy. Your Groupon will be redeemed during the reservation process.

Q:

Is this eligible for VIP refund?

Kristen T.  asked on  May 26, 2013

A:

I'm sorry, Kristen! I represent WhirlyBall and I'm unfamiliar with the VIP program, so I've reached out via email to someone at Groupon to help with your question.

Just didn't want you to think I was ignoring you! :)

A:

Hi Kristen! My name is Kate and I work for Groupon. The VIP Program no longer exists. You do have 7 days from the purchase date to refund any Groupon.

Q:

So I can't make a reservation until the day I want to use the groupon but can it be used in the evenings or weekends when it's usually more expensive to rent the court? Also, I thought the rate is $200 per hour during the week, so indicating this is a 57% savings is really not accurate.

Julie A.  asked on  May 26, 2013

A:

Julie, our rates can be found here: WhirlyBall Rates Because this Groupon is valid for 30-minute walk-ins and not advance one-hour reservations, the savings is based on the walk-in rates ($15 per person for 30 minutes). The cost for 10 people to walk-in and play for 30 minutes is $150, all seven days of the week. As I'm sure you are aware, Friday nights and Saturdays are prime-time for everyone. Although it's possible to secure a WhirlyBall court time by calling first thing that day (keep in mind there are three locations, a total of 7 courts), we recommend Sunday nights and weekday nights for WhirlyBall. With the exception of Saturdays and Sundays before 5pm, Lasertag is typically available all week long. It's always best to call ahead, check availability and then choose whether or not you wish to redeem your Groupon by making a same-day reservation for that day!
