Participants board a bobsleigh for an iceless high-speed cruise down the official Whistler Olympic track with a professional pilot. The experience begins with a preliminary orientation that familiarizes riders with the equipment and the sport itself, as well as teaches riders about the history of the Whistler Sliding Centre as a 2010 Olympic Winter Games venue. Riders then hop inside a sleek bobsleigh with rubber wheels, with the pilot and other passengers. ####Whistler Sliding Centre Nestled in the Fitzsimmons Valley on the southeast slope of Blackcomb Mountain, the accolades of Whistler Sliding Centre’s facilities speak for themselves. With a 1,450 metre-long competition track, the centre played host to bobsleigh, luge and skeleton competitions during the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games. The high performance sliding sports venue also contains support buildings around the track.
