Q:

After having the treatment, are you allowed to eat and drink anything or are you limited to certain things?

maureen l.  asked on  Apr 28, 2013

A:

Directly after the treatment we recommend that you avoid smoking, eating, or drinking anything but water for 1 hour! For a Minimum of 24 (48 is better) hours after the process please avoid consuming: Cofee, Tea, Dark Colored Sodas, Tobacco Products, Citrus Juices and Red Wine Or Any other food or drink that could stain the Teeth!!! A Good Rule of Thumb is that if it would stain a white shirt it could stain your teeth. When drinking beverages other than water, use a straw to avoid direct contact with your teeth.

Q:

I had a laser whitening treatment in the dental office a few years ago. The results were very bright white spots on my teeth instead of overall whitening. Should I expect the same results with your treatment?

JESSICA L.  asked on  Apr 26, 2013

A:

Unfortunately calcium deposits cannot be removed or blended 100%. It's not the product that doesn't work but it is a genetic defect with the teeth. The spots will be brighter for about 24 hours but will then “tone down” or blend back to not being as noticeable. Complete cosmetic dentistry would be needed to erase all calcium deposits (such as Veneers / Bonding etc..). However, many of our customers have found this to be a more cost effective way of dealing with calcium deposits. We get quite a few clients who have calcium deposits on their teeth and all of them leave with whiter teeth!

Q:

I used the Crest whitestrips like 8 years ago. Within a minute or so I had shooting pains in my teeth. Horribly painful! I know I have sensitive teeth, probably moreso than most people. I took it off and never used a whitening agent like that again. Could that happen with your product?

Jennifer L.  asked on  Apr 26, 2013

A:

Genetics are a funny thing....Typically people respond very well with our product who have had prior bad experiences with white strips or trays because of sensitivity. Although there is no way for us to guarantee you won't have some sensitvity, it is usually very minimal if there is any at all, simply because of the berevity of the gel on the teeth. It only stays on your teeth for 20 minutes. We do have an active ingredient in our gel to help fight against sensitivity as well as we have a product that you can take home with you that would also aid in stopping the sensitivity right away. All that being said, you may do the treatment and be fine, not feeling any sensitivity at all. It's a great deal at only $29 for the treatment, and at that price there is not a huge risk. You don't have alot to lose.

Q:

I have a filling on one of my front teeth, will it be whiten also?

terry  asked on  Apr 25, 2013

A:

People forget that their teeth are “live” organisms and porous, so they absorb staining agents. The “fake” teeth are non-porous and do not stain. Anyone with partials, crowns or implants are perfect candidates for this procedure. Bleaching of the natural teeth remove stains that occur over time. The result is a better and more even match to the crowns, bonding or veneers.

Q:

Will this cause tooth sensitivity? I have sensitive teeth and over the counter whitening strips made my teeth painfully sensitive.

Amelia F.  asked on  Apr 25, 2013

A:

Sensitivity becomes an issue with these long drawn out bleaching procedures such as White strips or take home trays. With our procedure, the gel only stays on your teeth 15-45 minutes so if there is any sensitivity, there is usually very minimal. We have administered over 50,000 treatments since 2008.

Q:

How many sessions do customers usually need to do?

bethany o.  asked on  Apr 25, 2013

A:

The number of treatments or sessions needed will depend upon the porosity of your teeth and the degree to which they are stained. Some stains are deep in the dentin, or caused by antibiotics given to patients while their teeth were still forming. These types of stains can be more difficult to get out. For most clients however, whether due to drinking staining beverages such as coffee and wine, smoking cigarettes, or just simply due to age, they will be able to achieve dramatically whiter teeth with in a single visit!

Q:

Hi! Is it safe to have my teeth whitened while I'm nursing? I'm not breastfeeding anymore, but I'm still expressing milk with an electric pump. I've never seen "organic" hydrogen peroxide so I was hoping this might be safe for me. Please let me know. thanks so much, Kirsten

Kirsten S.  asked on  Apr 24, 2013

A:

While our product is safe, it is a precautionary measure that we have to take. Although no known side effects have ever occured during clinical trials, our manufacturer/supplier recommends that you not do the whitening procedure until after you are through breastfeeding completely. Thanks for the question and we hope to see you real soon in the near future.
