We had a great time. It’s a friendly place and they explain the concept of their place to anyone new to the establishment. The prices are responsible and the mead is fantastic!

About Wild Blossom Meadery and Winery

Throughout its' two-decade history, Wild Blossom Meadery and Winery has been creating wine and mead from locally-sourced ingredients. To produce mead, the owners collect honey from their own hives, in the form of a honeycomb. Once the honey extraction is over, the mead makers start with the two-stage fermentation process. The end product of all this meticulous work is a flavorful alcoholic average, also known as "the nectar of the gods". As the only producer of mead on the Northern Illinois Wine Trail, Wild Blossom Meadery and Winery strives to uphold the tradition of creating wine from honey.

The owner, Greg, was really nice and had so much knowledge about bees. The staff was kind and friendly and the mead was SO good! My favorite was the PBJ—it tastes just like peanut butter and jelly. Looking forward to returning, especially in the spring and summer!
