With 20 years of experience in interior design and teaching art, Elaine Comeau of Wild Pigments Art Studio leads students of all ages through expressive, paint-spattered sessions. During one-hour classes for ages 3–5, kids draw and colour or get crafty with paints while bolstering motor skills and creativity. Budding Warhols ages 5–12 can attend 90-minute classes where they sculpt, craft functioning money-minting machines out of papier mâché, and paint while cementing a solid foundation for future art by focusing on drawing skills. Over the course of a two-hour teens’ art class, artsy youths meddle in many of the same media while slinging paint onto canvases, listening to music, and garnering a touch of art-history wisdom along the way. Adults looking for a strong foothold in the arts develop basic skills during 2.5-hour sessions where they learn to articulate themselves in oils, acrylics, and gourmet condiments.

Wild Pigments Art Studio

During her more than 20 years as an interior designer and a teacher at Algonquin College, Elaine Comeau made sure to continuously sharpen her already formidable skills in the visual arts. Colour theory and perspective drawing are just a couple of the various mediums she’s taught at art schools and in private lessons. Now the owner of her own studio, Comeau again welds her experience as an educator to her talent for illustration. As with Fellini films and lectures on Thomas Pynchon, anyone over age 3 is welcome: Elaine's group, private, and semiprivate courses are all geared toward different age ranges. Art classes send celebrants home with their own crafts.
