Roger, You're absolutely correct, this 1/2 price hang gliding deal may not be a good Christmas Gift for others because the adventure must be redeemed in December and the adventure scheduled before the end of January. It's a really super deal for anyone who is available to hang glide with us during the next 2 months.

I have never done hang-gliding before but would love love to do this. Because I do not have experience, will this be a tandem hang-gliding experience? Or does this deal only include the lesson and the actual flight is a separate fee?

During this Groupon Deal, you will actually fly a hang glider. You will make 7 solo flights from the top of our 30 ft. tall sand dune, each flight gliding about 100 yards. This is not a tandem flight and you are in the glider alone. For your first flights the instructor will be running down the sand dune below you, keeping the glider within his reach above him, and helping you steer the craft if necessary. This is our most popular hang gliding flying lesson for beginners that have never flown before. The only additional fee is the parking lot fee at the beach.
