Choose Between Two Options
- $15 for a one-hour group standup-paddleboarding lesson (a $40 value)
- $40 for a three-hour group windsurfing lesson (an $85 value)
One-hour standup-paddleboarding lessons teach students how to stand atop longboards and propel themselves with an elongated canoe paddle. In addition to exploring the bay, students also build core strength and balance.
The three-hour windsurfing class introduces the basics of the watersport. Instructors teach windsurfing theory and lead practice time on a dry-land simulator. Participants then head out on the water, where they learn to sail across the wind, turn around, and finish back at their starting point. Instructors limit class sizes to six or fewer students.
Standup-paddleboarding classes take place daily at 8:30 a.m., 4:30 p.m., and 5:30 p.m. Windsurfing classes take place daily at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., and 4 p.m. Participants are encouraged to wear protective footwear, such as aqua socks or sneakers, and not flip-flops or sandals. An eyeglass retainer is also recommended for those with prescription eyewear.
Windsure Adventure Watersports
Windsure Adventure Watersports' campers will never look at water the same way again. After five days of immersive instruction, certified instructors have transformed them into watersport experts. The instructors teach kids and adults how to control their vessels, and the bay surrounds surfers with views of sandy beaches, the distant Vancouver skyline, and lush evergreen trees that creep up mountainsides.
Common sights are elongated paddles that cut through its calm water as Windsure's standup-paddleboarding instructors teach classes how to propel themselves forward. Back on the beach, others learn to slide across the sand during skim boarding camps or lessons.
