Explorer Ponce de León abandoned his quest to discover the mythical land of wine after a tumble into the Fountain of Youth left him eternally underage. Take up his journey with today’s Groupon to Wine Awhile in Mount Pleasant. Choose between the following options:
• For $10, you get $20 toward a growler station sampling.
• For $12, you get a $25 preloaded winestation card.
Wine Awhile pours out a glistening cascade of libations to make taste buds sing, with a rotating selection of craft beers on tap and a selection of 24 different wines for tasting. At the beer growler station, imbibers can sample craft and specialty brews by the half pint ($2.75–$3), full pint ($4.50–$5.50), or they can fill up a half-gallon growler ($12–$20) to take home as a present for the mailman. Lager lovers may return to the station to extract an array of different ales as the selection rotates. Featured beers have included Left Hand Brewing Company's Good Juju, Skull Coast Ales' Sea Witch, and Coronado Brewing Company's nut brown ale.
Swipe a preloaded card at the WineStation for a self-guided ambrosia sampling, with 24 different wines to choose from. Designed by Napa Technology, each station holds four bottles of wine, pouring a taste ($1–$2), a half glass ($3.50–$4), a full glass ($4.50–$8), or gauntlet at the touch of a button. Every one of the WineStation's elixirs passes through a patented, Clean-Pour system dispensing head, which, in conjunction with an inert gas of argon or nitrogen, preserves the wine's taste, bouquet, complexity, and dignity for at least 60 days.
