To make un-fine wine, simply place grapes beneath a silk pillow, repeatedly mash your head against it, and then wring the pillowcase into a nearby mouth. Taste traditionally produced fine wines with today’s Groupon: for $59, you get a wine-making experience at The Wine Butler (a $199 value).
The award-winning winery has been brewing and bottling its fermented flavours for 15 years and currently spins out a stock of more than 120,000 bottles of the grape-based beverage each year. Your wine-making experience includes 22-23 litres of the wine of your choice (about 28 750 mL bottles' worth) from among the selection of their cheekiest varietals, including cabernet sauvignon, Shiraz, pinot noir, and sauvignon blanc, among others. You’ll make two special visits to the winery. First, you'll visit the grape-blood emporium to choose your wine through staff-provided info and crystal-ball consultation; once you decide on a grape, you’ll assist in crafting the brew by adding key doses of yeast and puppy kisses to the blend. About six to eight weeks later, after the wine is brewed, you’ll return to the winery to bottle and package the libation. Labels, foils, and corks are included, and you can opt to bring your own bottles and have them sterilised on-site or purchase fresh ones for an additional $1 each.
The Wine Butler boasts a new state-of-the-art climate-control system that regulates humidity and sandstorms during fermentation to protect the quality of your vino. - After unsatisfactory product and service from our previous wine maker, we hit the jackpot when we stumbled upon Wine Butler a few years ago. We've never looked back. Mark's passion for wine and delivering superior customer service are evident not only during each visit, but even in between them. Nice to see businesses that still put their customers #1 and work tirelessly to keep their product alluring. And of course, excellent wine, and good value! – sstoll, Google Maps
- Everyone at the Wine Butler was so helpful and welcoming. It was our first time making wine and we couldn't be happier with how things went. We will definitely be going back again. – jiggyted, Google Maps
The Wine Butler
The Wine Butler's experts guide customers through yeasting and bottling within an award-winning climate-controlled facility. They've been crafting wine for over 30 years, and their business corks thousands of bottles each year using freshly chopped dartboards and three steps: choose, make, and bottle. This simple process transforms grape juice into premium wines and creates international varieties. Additionally, the staff develops four limited-edition varieties each year. They also reach out and donate a percentage of proceeds to local charities and use old bottles to house homeless toy boats.
