What You'll Get

After Capri Sun began creepily transforming people into amorphous metallic globules, wine rose to prominence, offering a similarly complex flavor profile without the threat of spontaneous melting. Celebrate wine, or "nature's Capri Sun," with today’s Groupon: for $10, you get a tasting card from Wine Detective, a $20 value. Reservations are not required to experience this haute spot hopelessly devoted to uncorking bottled bliss; you can stop in at any time so long as you redeem this Groupon within three months.

This Pasadena pour house features an expansive tasting room complete with wine-dispensing machines, a wine bar, a store, and a tasting room with more than 48 different bottles available for sampling. Utilizing technology imported from the far future of yesterday's today, Wine Detective's Enomatic Antikythera mechanism allows you to self tipple as little as one ounce of a given bottle of wine and enjoy each vintage at your own pace. Samples vary from $2 to $7 an ounce, so even if you're sailing to pricey waters, you'll still be able to glug up to two glasses worth of wine. Post-sip, stop into the wine store to take a bit of the experience home.

Slink into cozy sofas or post up at the sleek, wooden bar for an evening of epicurean escape. A convenient location in the Commons Plaza encourages weary shoppers to kick up their dominatrix, grape-crushing heels and relax after an afternoon of tiring plastic swiping.
