Michelle was such a great wine advisor and made sure we had a great time! As for the company, just remember that there’s another fee to pay in addition to the Groupon once you’ve booked a birthday wine tasting etc

I was disappointed with the charity contribution and lack of wine choice available during the date of my tasting. With a sale of over $450 only $18.03 is going to the charity. I would not recommend buying this groupon. Contact the vendor directly. The consultant was great, knowledgeable and kept the party going with great information about the wines and fun tidbits like how to "cling" the glass when toasting.

The wine advisor, Daphnee, made a fraudulent charge on my card to her own business that she said was for the wine. I never received my wine or was charged for it.The wine tasting is only one hour, you have to purchase a minimum of three bottles at $25+ each, and I still do not have the wine or a reason for that charge after speaking with her manager a week ago.I had to report it and get a new card.

Organizing the party was easy. Daphne was very informative and presented the wines in a way we could understand the different tastes. One problem was she ordered more bottles than were actually ordered and my credit card was charged for them all. When I asked for an invoice, she said it would be in the box with the wines. I din't know who ordered what. It was an ordeal to have the extra bottles picked up as they are only in the area once a week.

The consultant was nice and friendly. The wines, were ok, but, I'm not a wine drinker, although my guest enjoyed it. It was a lovely event and a good time was had by all, we are talking about doing it again.

About Wines for Humanity

Wines for Humanity's professional wine advisers lead in-home tastings to teach wine-lovers and novices alike the finer points of a five-point wine-tasting technique, all while raising funds for local charities. As students sip from several exclusive vintages, they learn to judge wines' colors and aromas. They also learn how to pick out food pairings for planning dinners in their own homes.

Before the tasting event, Wines for Humanity delivers glasses to the host's home, and a local retailer delivers the selected wines for the in-home tasting (each bottle averages a value of $21). Hosts are encouraged to prepare complementary cheese and crackers to make guests feel welcome and satisfied.
