Q:

Do you have samples available, and would I be able to sample the wine before I make a choice on which one to make?

Janice L.  asked on  Jan 1, 2013

A:

Hi Janice. Unfortunately due to AGCO regulations we are not able to allow sampling in the store.

Q:

What size are the wine bottles that are used?

Janice L.  asked on  Jan 1, 2013

A:

Hi Janice. If you choose to purchase bottles, we sell both 750ml and 375ml. If bringing your own you are welcome to use any size as long as they were previously used as wine bottles. I selection of wine yields just under 23 litres, so it is approximately 30 bottles based on the 750ml size.

Q:

What would be the cost to upgrade to another international series such as the Australian Grenache/Shiraz/Mourvèdre? Can I use a twist cap rather than corkscrew type of bottle? Would the wine taste homemade or be equivalent to any LCBO wine of let's say 15 $ in value? Would the wine benefit from aging? What is the maximum storage that such a wine could be kept before consumption? Thank you.

Joseph A.  asked on  Dec 29, 2012

A:

Hi Joseph. You are welcome to use the Groupon deal to upgrade to a higher priced varietal. This would include any of the 'with Grape Skins' in the International Series or the Ultra Premium Eclipse wines. The deal can only be used on the 4 varieties mentioned in the International series. You can cork most screw cap bottles that you collect, but we only sell bottles with a cork finish. We strive to produce wines that rival LCBO products and based on customer feedback - they say some products taste better than wines in the $15 price range. Aging is key - this is how our products improve and compare with commercial wines. Maximum storage is based on conditions in your home - but generally speaking 2-3years on average. Synthetic corks can be purchased to further increase the shelf life. Keep in mind we have a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. Jason
