And even though that unique concept helped the restaurant expand to more than two dozen locations, the franchise started with one small chicken wing. The eatery's founding brothers took that simple comfort food and covered it in a glaze of their own creation, which would eventually become Winger's Original Amazing Sauce. It was that sauce's unique combination of sweet and spicy flavors that would help launch their pub-food empire. Today, diners can still find it slathered over wings, half-pound burgers, and many more items on the menu and on their own fingers.
