Wingfest silences ravenous hunger clucks with a savory smorgasbord of wings crafted from a variety of local vendors, and served among a flurry of outdoor activities. A panel of sauce-savvy judges will award the most flavorful fowl with the title of Best Wing, and self-proclaimed wing-sperts can vote for their own favorite in the coveted People's Choice category. Past years have served up more than 6,000 pounds of wings for the flightless feast, with flavors ranging from tasty stalwarts, such as last year's multiple award-winning wings from The Smokehouse, to unique creations, such as zesty, grits-dolloped Bubba Dixie beer wings from Kenny B's. While parents dine and dance to live music from Deas Guyz and the Good People, their competitive tykes can engage in safe, unsauced recreation in a designated kids zone.
